Flight Safety
In the aviation industry, safety is of utmost importance and there are laws and regulations set in place to ensure maximum safety for pilots, crew, and passengers. But when you think of aviation, you may only think of airplanes and helicopters. The truth is that general aviation also includes balloons, parachutes, hang gliders, para gliders, charter planes, helicopters, commercial jets, and more. These types of aviation are also monitored for safety and have regulations when it comes to flight safety.
But in the commercial aviation industry, flight safety is often left up to skilled air traffic controllers and ground controllers who can guide and direct airplanes. Air traffic controllers are used to coordinate flights and to monitor the skies to ensure aviation safety for all people who are involved and gave give pilots and crew members needed updates and make sure that they have all the information necessary to ensure flight safety.
In fact, to maintain a high level of flight safety, air traffic controllers are divided into four groups. This includes controllers who guide aircraft between airports; controllers in control towers who guide aircraft over small distances; controllers who guide aircraft over oceans and continents; and controllers who guide aircraft in wider areas, such as busy airports. Working together with other aviation specialists, air traffic controllers are able to ensure flight safety. Because of industry professionals, such as air traffic controllers and others, we are able to enjoy maximum flight safety and get to our destinations without incident.
